HERE IS SOMETHING UNUSUAL!!!

After leaving Rocks home he must have left this behind.  It is a dumb little brass box, broken up and with stuff inside it.   I have no idea what it is and what it meant but this is the way I found It.

This is a box that has Marc's name inscribed on it.  Marc Christian - Macginnis is the person who sued Rocks estate after Rock Hudson passed away.  He won the law suit but should not have.  It, in my opnion was a gross injustice.

I AM LEAVING THIS BOX THE WAY I FOUND IT.

MOVIE POSTER - IL COMANDANTE DEL FLYING MOON - ROCK HUDSON

This is an Italian movie poster from a production that Rock Hudson did called Il Comandante del Flying Moon.  It is in Italian.  It is in fair condition but very rare.  It measures 14" x 19.5".  Straight from the file cabinet of Rock Hudson.

Night Shirt of Rock Hudson's

This is a night shirt Rock wore after he lost massive amounts of weight in 1985.  It is one of the last pieces of clothing he wore.  It has been cleaned and washed by me.  I just found it may 2013 in a box that I have not seen for some years now.   Lots of memories.   I do have photos of Rock in similar Night Shirts.

The items label was taken off as Rock never liked the way they felt against his skin.

This is something very personal and special.

Ornatly Carved Wood Floral Design Jewelry Box

Ornatly carved wood floral design jewelry box with tray and red velvet inside.   Excellent condition and ageing.  This was Rock Hudson's jewelry box and after he passed it became George Nader's jewelry box. George  had on his dresser for years. He recieved from Rock Hudson who used it for decades first. Once it was Full of the studs, cuff links, watches, etc. as both men would groom themselves.   A  huge part of Rock's and George's  lives for years.

Pair of Glass Ashtrays with Brass Snuffers

A Pair of Glass ashtrays with brass snuffers.  Rock was a known smoker and had ashtrays everywhere.  This pair was in the living room on the coffee table.  With the brass snuffers you just set your finished cigarettes in them and they suffocate keeping you from having to put them out by smothering them with your fingers.

This is a passport carrier made of soft leather that Rock Hudson carried his Passports in.  He used it for years.  It has a business card holder on the front and has "RH" in gold on the front.

Pocket knife-Wisconsin Leather Co.

This is a pocket knife that I saw Rock carry for years.  From cleaning his nails, cutting off lose threads, to trimming his mustache.   He used this for everything.  Remarkably, it is still very sharp.   It is gold plated and once had black enameling through out.   It has, for the most part, worn off.  The plating is a good one though, very thick.  It has a nail file, scissors and a blade.  Very ornately done. 

It is not clean as I have not cleaned it.  I left it as I found it.

The blades are stainless steel and made by Aug. Muller, sohne, solingen, Germany.
