DISNEY WORLD GRAND OPENING INVITATION FOR ROCK HUDSON

This is a wonderful item.  It is an invitation to the opening of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  This was a three day event.  The date of the Grand Opening is October 23, 24, & 25, 1971.  In the invitation it states that they (meaning Rock and Guest, as it was mailed to Rock) will be a guest of the resort and it tells of  the special guests that will be performing.  it also describes all the events that will take place and their themes.

It is on the official Walt Disney Stationary/ Invitations.  It is stamped with Rock Hudson's official Emobsier.  He was invited to, was part of and attended all sorts of Walt Disney events.

Gas Company letter-1959

This is nice.... It is a letter from the Southern California Gas Company to Rocks Business Managers stating that they are taking the name off the account from Roy Fitzgerald and putting it to Rock Hudson.  Then they will forward his bill of $.90 to him.

Here is what looks to be a Golden Globe Award.  It lacks the ribbon normally surrounding the globe.   I am not exactly sure what award it is but it was found with all Rock's other awards.  

The Figure atop the Golden Globe broke at some point and needs to be reattached.

Ironically, it had broken in the same place as HIS GOLDEN GLOBE. I had it repaired by a jeweler in Beverly Hills, ca. for $50.00 at the buyers request.

I am selling it as is for 3k. It was Rocks and that I know.

HERE IS A FUN FIND.

IT IS A FOUR PIECE SET FROM GUCCI, PARTIALLY FOR SOMETHING I HAVE ON THE WEB SITE.  IT IS THE RECEIPT FOR THE GUCCI NOTE PAD AND SOME PAPER.   IT SHOWS HE HAD IT SINCE 1965.  FOR TWENTY YEARS BEFORE HIS PASSING.

THAT MAKES IT 46 YEARS OLD TODAY.

This is a letter from Rock Hudson's attorneys terminating Henry Willson, the agent who made the name Rock Hudson. 

He was also credited for making others famous.   It is dated August 29, 1966.
