Malibu home that Rock Rented 1958-1959

Here is a file that has Rock's rental agreement for the home he rented at  19200 W. Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Ca.  He entered into this agreement on April 29, 1958 with Katherine Wigle his landlord.  The agreement was to lease with option to buy for one year at the cost of $4,600.00 to start May 17, 1958 through May 16, 1959. 

Can you imagine renting a home in Malibu, Ca. for $383.33 per month on the beach in Malibu?!?

It is signed by both Rock Hudson and the owner of the property.

These are receipts for prescriptions to Marc Christian McGinnis and Liberty Martin.  They are from the files of Rock Hudson.  Marc Christian was the person who sued Rocks estate and Liberty Martin was Marc Christians ex-lover and friend.

Pet Papers for Two of Rock's Dogs

Here is a folder with information on two of Rock's dogs.  He wrote Nickey's name, a third dog,  and her D.O.B. on the inside of one of the folders.

Rock loved his dogs and spoiled them rotten (don't we all).  That makes this a very personal item of our Rock's.

This is a seven piece set of receipts for items for Rock to put into his Home in Newport Beach.   Peter Shore was his long time interior decorator and worked wonders in many of Rock Hudson's homes.  A true magician and a very nice man.

This is a fan letter written to Rock while he was sick.  Sender unknown.  They say that they loved Rock for years but are bitterly disappointed at what he had become. 

Not all letters are good. 

This has George Naders writing on it stating which envelope it cam in and that the sender sent a present, a powder blue lady's sweater.

This is a five piece set and is just the way I got it out of the file cabinet.  It is for his Screen Actors Guild card for the year 1971.  It also has a hand written little note that says "File Paid Bills".

Here is a set of three.  They are invoices for moving a piano from Los Angeles to Rock's Newport Beach home in 1959.

It was $40.00 back then, today the gas alone would be around $50.00.

I FIND THESE BILLS, RECEIPTS, TICKETS, STATEMENTS, INVOICES, ETC.  JUST THE WAY THEY ARE.

THEY COME OUT OF THE FILE CABINET OF ROCK HUDSON EXACTLY THE WAY I ADD THEM TO MY SITE.   SOME YOU CAN FIGURE OUT.... SOME ARE A BIT TOUGHER.

HERE IS A PERSONAL PIECE OF ROCK!!!!

This is a brown and gold monogrammed with Rock Hudson's name, script holder.  It is tensioned to hold the script and is beautifully made.  Very heavy duty it is in great shape.

Rock was inendated with different scripts from all over and he would actually read most of them and consider his options.   He would place them in this holder and read at his leisure the scripts presented to him for first right of refusal.
