Pewter ash trays.  A pair of these ash trays in the photo the two in the back and next photo shows Tom Clark, Rocks Life Partner sitting around the pool and next to the ash tray.  These were spread around the back yard.  The close up of the bottom shows "Hot Glue" on the bottom, that is so not to scratch delicate wood tables in yard.  Comes off very easily.

Pewter Plate with 2 Hippocamps and Castle in High Relief

Wow!!! THIS PLATE IS FABULOUS AND HEAVY!!!!

Rock Hudson's Decorative Pewter Plate Bearing A Coat of Arms. 

The bottom of the plate holds a high relief coat of arms depicting two hippocamps, mythical creatures that were horse in the forepart and having a scaly, fish like hindquarter.  These creatures were often used in Roman public baths and can be seen in Pompeii; they were also used on certain Greek coins.  The two hippocamps hold a shield between them bearing a Fleur De Li's, two flowers, three sailing ships and a castle rampart. Above the shield is a small castle.  Along the lip of the plate "Cambridge" is engraved.  Rock Hudson often bought antiques in Europe.  This plate was kept in one of his two living rooms at 9402 Beverly Crest Dr. in Beverly hills, Ca. where he lived from 1962 till his death in 1985.  In three of the pictures you can plainly see the plate in the foreground.  These are various articles from House and Garden and other magazines.  Copies of these come with purchase.

Rosenthal-Clear glass hurricane candle holders. Cobalt blue base

Rosenthal Studio linie-Clear glass hurricane candle holders cobalt blue bases 7-bases & 5-domes.Comes with original product catalouge.  Rock Hudson loved Rosenthal and he loved candles.  They were found all over his home and outside in his yards. In the one picture are a couple pictures of rock Hudsons kitchen from House Beautiful's July 1976 edition in which Rock's kitchen was featured on the cover and a full article inside.  Copies of this article come with purchase as well as a Certificate of Authenticity. You can see by the table setting his love for Rosenthal.

Scalloped Edge Pewter Plate Lions Crest

Rock Hudson's pewter bowl with Rampart Lion wearing a crown.  The bottom of the bowl bears a high relief rampant lion wearing a crown.  This bowl was part of the  decoration in Hudson's home.  In the photo you can see it on the table next to Tom Clark, Rocks Life Partner.  I will post more photos as they are found.

Stein-Clear glass with hinged pewter lid.

Stein-Clear glass with hinged pewter lid. Rock made entertainment out of drinking.  A Rock Hudson favorite, on the Rare occasions he would drink beer was to "fill`er up and gulp`er down." This Stein's size was relative to his six foot five inch stature.  Rock's favorite drink was Cutty Sark, Scotch on the Rocks.
