Christmas Decorations - Fabulous with six angels!!!

WHAT A FIND!!!!!

I just un-earthed this piece of candy from a box I recently opened.

It is a Christmas Decoration, made in Japan,  that you fill with water and six angels float around the porcelan circle. 

I think it is the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus in the center.  

The ring is about 12.5" in Dia.

The whole set is very old and is in excellent condition.   In  my upcoming books, I tell what it was like for Rock during the Holidays.  He absoutly adored them, especially Christmas.

Old Hatchet from India

Here is an old Hatchet, from I guess, India, by the markings etched in the blade.  It is great and in excellent shape.  I didn't polish it, I left it as I found it.

Measures:  7.5" long - Blade Measures:  about 2" x 3"

Old, Do Everything-Pocket Knife

Here is a fun one!

It is an old pocket knife that features nothing less than a fork, spoon, blade, scissors, can opener, bottle opener, saw, nail file, fid, cork screw, net mender, etc.  It was found in the latest box of Rock's personal things that I have come across.

Measures:  6" x 2" x 1.5"

Old Egyptian knife

Here is one of many!

Rock had all these knives around his home on shelves and tables among his other valuables displayed throughout his home.

This one is from Egypt (My guess) and has a hard wood and solid brass handle, solid brass sleeve and a steel blade stamped with three stars.  The wooden parts are inlayed with mother of pearl, tourquios, coral and brass dots.  It is very heavy. 

It is wonderful!!!!

Measures: 10.25" in the sleeve and has a 5.5" blade.

Military knife-Asian

Here is one of many!

Rock had all these knives around his home on shelves and tables among his other valuables displayed throughout his home.

This one is from Middle east (My guess) and has a pot metal handle, sleeve and a steel blade ornately carved. Stamped stainless steel and Habib. The Metal parts are ornately cast with a gun ship on one side and a tank on the other.

It is wonderful!!!!

Measures: 14.25" in the sleeve and has a 8.5" blade.

The sleeve has synthetic sapphires inlaid on both sides.

Ivory knife (old) with ornately carved handle and sleeve

Here is one of many!

This one is from China (My guess) and has an Ivory handle, sleeve and a steel blade. 

It is wonderful!!!!

Measures: 9.5" in the sleeve and has a 5.25" blade.

The Ivory has a few splits on the sleeve and one on the handle, probably from being so old.

Knife from India

This one is from India (My guess) and has a hard  wood handle, sleeve and a steel blade ornately carved.  The wooden parts are inlayed with mother of pearl dots and have metal bands securing the wood. 

It is wonderful!!!!

Measures: 13.5" in the sleeve and has a 6" blade.

The view hole in the sleeve frames the beautiful human design on the blade.

Old Gas Container

This is a fun find. 

From what I can figure out and what I have been told by a few, this is a Gasoline Container. 

It is about three feet tall and about eleven inches, (at the widest point) in diameter.  Rock had this in his yard among all his colorful flowers.  This may be the reason for it's weatherd condition. 

It is a Seraphin Model es-5d.  15 gallon capacity.

It was used for "quick fill" maybe in car races.

Knowing Rock's love for cars, this is probably something he found during one of his shopping sprees at antiques shops across the country, he had to have and probably knew exactly where it was going to sit.

This is bizarre, again!!!!!

It is a very old wooden mold that I just found within Rock's things.

It is very, very old.
