This is an eight piece set from the files of Rock Hudson.

In it he is asking Universal Studios for six 16 mm copies of films that he wants to record for his own collection.  Rock was known for his vast album, film and tape collection. 

It is signed and has annotations by Rock Hudson and other executives.

This is a very large set--72 pages!!!!

It has multiple signatures from studio executives, agents, lawyers, Tom Clark (Rock's life partner), etc.  The negotiations are in 1982.  This is necessary corrispondance back and forth towards securing the deal.

Here is another GREAT from the file cabinet of ROCK HUDSON!!!

This is a book of Talent from 1933.  Some upcoming some established.  It is known as "The Standard"  for stage-screen-radio talent of the day.  

It is 104 pages and measures 8" X 11".

It is filled with photographs and commentary about the Actors and Actresses of the day.  There is a similar publication to this day. 

It covers the whole range of talent from leading men-women to charactor men-women.  And everything inbetween.   It even has advertisers in it. 

Hours of entertainment and very collectable from Rock Hudson's file cabinet.

The Thalians

The Thalians was founded in 1955 by a group of young actors and allied professionals from the film industry who wanted to give back some of their blessings to the community. It is now headed by Debbie Reynolds.  They met at actress Jayne Mansfield’s home to discuss how they could use their time, talent and energy to help children with mental health problems. Taking the name from Thalia, the Muse of Comedy and the Shepherdess of straying and lost lambs, the first Hollywood “celebrity” charity was born, and just four short years later, The Thalians Clinic for Emotionally Disturbed Children at Mt. Sinai Hospital was established.

This is an invoice, Check Request and letter that Rock Hudson's Managers are paying for some theatre tickets for Rock while in New York. 

It is a three piece set.

Tobruk-File

HERE IS  A WONDERFUL FIND...

It is the file on Rock Hudson's film "Tobruk". 

Here is a brief synopsis:

September 1942 - With Erwin Rommel's Afrika Korps on the march through Egypt, a British special forces unit, composed of German Jews who serve with the British despite the mutual resentment between both, kidnap a Canadian officer who is an expert topographer and who is held prisoner by the Vichy French in Algeria. The officer, Donald Craig, must negotiate a company of British and German-Jewish commandos through 800 miles of the Sahara to aide a pending amphibious landing against Tobruk's massive fuel storage base - a mission that sees one impediment after another, and which discovers an undetected German armored force ready to win the battle of Egypt.

Technical advice and assistance for the film were provided by the 40th Armored Division ("Grizzly") of the California Army National Guard.

This file contains approximately 120 pages and has storyboards from commericals during the film where

Rock Hudson owned the production company. It is just full of all sorts of paperwork, history, collectables.

Topps Chewing Gum-Rock Hudson Trading Card Contract

Here is a fun contract.  It is a contract that allows Topps Chewing Gum, Inc. to use Rock Hudson's likeness for their trading cards.  On one of the forms Rock asks if he is being paid but Topps states that it is for the actors benefit and they don't pay them.  It is signed by Rock Hudson and whitnessed by Rupert Allan, Rocks friend and publicist.

Here is an invoice where 20th century charged Rock's account for two air line tickets from L.A.X. to New Orleans with James Dobson.

On this invoice Rock writes a little letter with comedic overtones.
