This is a copy of The Daily Variety,  The Industry's Standard newspaper, set onto a rich wood plaque.  It was sent to Rock by the newspaper and highlights The Legit Reviews article.  It talks about Rock while doing John Browns Body at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. His co-stars Claire Trevor and  Leif Erickson all get praise for the play.  Directed by John Houseman, the play is about Blacks struggle to liberate themselves.See other articles on the plaque like ones about Frank Sinatra and DeLarentis and censorship.
