This two piece set has some of Rock's writing on it that says what  and to who the christmas gifts go. Rock was known for buying many people gifts and taking whole crews to lunches while filming his films.

CANON CAMERA CO., INC. RECEIPT

This item is fun...... It is a receipt from Canon Camera Co., Inc. in Tokyo for the purchase of a camera.  The fun part is that Rock paid for it and it was bought for Marilyn Maxwell who was a great friend of Rocks.  It was purchased August 27, 1959 and Paid December 01, 1959. 

I guess the mail took a bit longer in those days!

Christmas Cards

Rock Hudson loved holidays and especially Christmas.  He always made them a big deal.  From his 20' Christmas Trees to some of the Christmas decorations being hand made and imported from all over the world.  He decorated differently every year.  Some years he would use oversize decorations.  We have one of his oversize Christmas bulbs for sale in this web site.   This is one of his Christmas cards he sent out.  This one was not sent.  There are two in this set.

This is a check book and account book with a carrying case for Roy H. Fitzgerald aka Rock Hudson from 1956.  It is a Christmas Club book.  Never used but had one deposit for $2,000.00 on 12-11-56.   Rock filled out his real name in the account book.  These accounts were fun.  They were set up so you can deposit all year long but you could only write checks the month of December.  That is why they called them Christmas Clubs.  This account was with First State Bank Rosemead, Ca.  It is full of checks that were Rocks.
