Here is a good one for all of our Mexican friends out there!!! It is a letter from the Ambassador to Mexico in Washington D.C. asking if Rock could attend a film festival in Acapulco, Mexico and it is signed by him. In Rock's reply, he says he starts filming his new movie, Tobruk and will be out of town for it, but, hopes for a future invitation. A letter via Rock Hudson's studio, Universal, regarding an invite to be guest of honor at the VIII World Review Film Festival to be held in Acapulco.
Rock was invited to many, many functions and was honored at many, but the second accompanying letter in this set regretfully declines, as he was scheduled to start his next movie on Nov. 15. The name of the film? Tobruk. It was set in N.Africa but filmed in the California desert.
