Letter from Rock's Mother-2

This one is great!!!!

Here is a letter from Rock Hudson's Mother to Colleen on July 31, 1960 from Minnesota.  It says:

"Just a short note to let you know we will be home next weekend.  We had a rad trip across the country, buth thankful for the air conditioning in the car.  It was over 100 degrees in all places we stopped.  And yesterday was very cool and comfortable followed by thunderstorms and a lot of rain.  We will be glad to be back home.  Perhaps to get together again, but can always go to Newport Beach, where it is always delightful.  Be a good girl.  Now and you can relay this message to our darling".

I may have read some of it wrong, as it is hard to read. 

But this is a wonderful, touching find where Mrs. Olsen refers to her son, Rock as "Our darling".
