Readers Digest Donation for the Blind with Rock's writing.

This is a thank you letter from Readers Digest Fund for the Blind for Rock Hudson's generous donation of one hundred dollars and his recipt with his writing on it. This is also signed by the president of Readers Digest American Printing House for the Blind.   It is dated January 30, 1970.

It states, it was also typed by a blind secretary at the bottom of the letter.

I have documents from Rock Hudson from childhood all the way up to adult.   I can verify his writing, probably better than any one else.

This is a check request for making a donation to Mountain Crags Camp, A Salvation Army Camp for Underpriviledged Children.  It is dated  June 01, 1966.  

Rock Hudson sent a very lucky young boy to a wonderful camp in Malibu Canyon.

This is a set of documents from Speed Chandler, famous pilot, asking Rock Hudson to become a member of The Aviation Committee he was involved with.

Rock agrees to lend his name to this organization and made a donation.

The Thalians was founded in 1955 by a group of young actors and allied professionals from the film industry who wanted to give back some of their blessings to the community. It is now headed by Debbie Reynolds.  They met at actress Jayne Mansfield’s home to discuss how they could use their time, talent and energy to help children with mental health problems. Taking the name from Thalia, the Muse of Comedy and the Shepherdess of straying and lost lambs, the first Hollywood “celebrity” charity was born, and just four short years later, The Thalians Clinic for Emotionally Disturbed Children at Mt. Sinai Hospital was established.
